Ten Years of Fueling India's Startup Story

It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years.

A decade ago, the Indian startup landscape was a different world—buzzing with raw energy, but with a support system still finding its feet. We saw a gap and jumped in, but our own story, much like the founders we so deeply admire, didn't follow a straight line.

We began our journey as a legal tech company, convinced that technology alone could solve the complex challenges founders faced. But my own experiences—as a GC in a VC fund and within a startup accelerator—kept leading me back to a fundamental truth: what founders needed most wasn't just a platform, but a partner. Someone who understood the late-night anxieties before a term sheet signing, the nuances of a tough negotiation, and the sheer grit it takes to build something from nothing.

So, five years ago, we made a crucial pivot. We embraced what we had learned and evolved into the firm we are today, combining our tech-driven efficiency with a deep, hands-on legal partnership.

Looking back, that decision was everything. It’s what allowed us to truly partner with over 750 founders and facilitate over ₹25 billion in transactions. It's what gave us the privilege of being in the trenches with incredible companies like The Whole Truth, Gynoveda, and LBB, and watching them become household names.

This anniversary doesn't just belong to LexStart; it belongs to our entire community. To our clients, who trusted us with their vision, especially those who believed in us through our evolution. To our incredible 35 people-strong team, whose passion and brilliance are the heart of this firm. And to our ecosystem partners, who have collaborated with us to build a stronger foundation for Indian innovation.
