Anisha founded LexStart, a group of entities, in 2015 that focus on providing legal support to the early stage ecosystem. Anisha has over 21 Years of experience in corporate commercial laws with extensive experience in transaction related work. For the past decade, Anisha has been focusing on assisting the Indian startup ecosystem.
Anisha has been a Partner at law firms, the General Counsel at a Development Sector Venture Capital Fund and founding team of a startup accelerator before she founded LexStart.
Anisha’s vast experience as a lawyer and as an entrepreneur helps her assist entrepreneurs and startups navigate the legal maze.
Anisha continues to be the External Legal Counsel for Acumen and she’s also the Venture Partner for StrongHer Ventures and Sangam Ventures.

At LexStart Partners, we work closely with all our clients, taking a strategic and balanced approach. Our commercial contracts team provides legal assistance from the ground up - right from drafting and reviewing to finalizing agreements. Our endeavour is to adequately protect our clients whilst also ensuring the contract’s commercial feasibility. As part of our offerings, we also help with structuring of options including ESOPs and ASOPs and help complying with the provisions of the POSH Act.

The role would be like every other general counsel role. Depending on your preference, the general counsel will play the following role:
HOW?
With our external general counsel role offering, you will have a lawyer on call, at all times.
Attend regular catch-up calls with the team (as may be held in your fund).
Attend portfolio/ pipeline review calls/ meetings.
Advice on any structure, company, issue that your portfolio company may be facing.
Review any documents for add on investment or further funding in your portfolio companies, where you may not be participating, but still need to ensure that your rights are protected.
